Just a few minutes old!

This is Henry just a few minutes after his arrival. He weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz., and he was 20.5 in. long! He worried me because he was so quiet, but he was very alert. He scored great on his very first test (Apgar 8, 9).

The Nursery

When I returned home in August from a visit to Mississippi, Charlie had completed the nursery, trimming it with a molding with knobs for hanging. It was even more beautiful than I had imagined. What a great husband and dad!

It's a boy!

We found out that we were having a boy on Charlie's graduation day! What an eventful day! Henry was sucking his thumb and cradling his face, just like he does now.
